Lassen National Park (CA)

Lassen Peak (10,457 ft. (3241 m)) was a side vent of Mt.Tehama and is now the most southern peak of the Cascade Range. It is considered as the world's largest plug dome volcano in the world. Its last eruption cycle was from May 1914 until 1921. The climax of this 7-year cycle of sporadic outbursts took place in 1915 when the peak blew an enormous mushroom could 7 miles (11.2 km) into the stratosphere.
