| From 1843 to 1869 migrated about 300,000 people over the so called Oregon Trail from Independence (Missouri) to Oregon City. Oregon City was the only federal land office in the west (OR,WA,CA,NV) at this time. One out of 10 died on this journey with the covered wagon to the promised land . | |||
