Green sea turtle

Green sea turtles, weighing upward of 200 pounds at maturity, are a thrilling but not so uncommon sight to behold in the Hawaiian waters. Because they feed on algae that grow in the shallow waters of costal reefs, they frequent some of the same beaches that snorkelers visit (e.g. Kahaluu Beach and Anaehoomalu Bay).
